Its been a while since the last blog, lots going on, lots changing and many, many struggles to overcome and get through.
Challenges come and go every day, sometimes getting out of bed, others the people we face in daily life, family events and occassions or even dates that bring up old harsh memories of something or another – at the end of the day it comes down to you. How do you respond, how do you react, how to do feel, adapt and respond…..
For me, challenges have arised in all areas of life. Its been a challenge to walk into spaces, see people and events – but finding a means that alliviates the harsh feelings, thoughts and emotions is key. What works for one, will not work for another. Find your vent, find your peace and item / thing / person that works for you! Negativity is very toxic, its draining and without realizing it you can become consumed by others negativity easy!
Again, for me I use resistance training to find peace within my body, mind and soul. Within the time period of 30 minutes or even up to two hours – whatever I can get to be honest, I find I am able to close out the world of negativity around me – solely focus on the burn, the pain and sweat dripping from my forehead, the way my body reacts, feels and hurts during and after instill a feeling of accomplishment! The best part though it the silence within my mind (even though I have the rock music cranked and rocking it out to the rythme and beats) my mind erases the world around me for that time period. All things that are toxic, negative and draining are forgotten within the burning feeling within the reps, afterwards looking at myself in the mirror you see the effort the hard work and determination in the sweaty image before you.
This time that I get helps takes toxins from the outside world outside of my body, refreshes, resets and refocuses me on what matters. As an Educator, Volunteer Fire Fighter, Father of three, Husband I need to focus on me sometimes, so I can be the best version of myself for others….its been a tough lesson to learn, at tough thing to put into the busy schedule but so key to survival within a very negative toxic world we are living in right now!
Find your peace, find your time and create a mindset that works for you and your lifestyle!
