The tragedy in Manchester has effected us all greatly. The world has become a cruel, cruel place, where nowhere really seems safe anymore. It must be so hard to be a parent, worrying whenever your child leaves the house. Or to be the government who has to worry about their people and make the right decisions.
984 troops are being deployed onto the streets around the United Kingdom due to the suicide bombing that took place at Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester. 12 of the 22 victims have been named, including an 8 year old, 15 year old, 18 year old, a polish couple and a police officer. Salman Abedi has been named as the Manchester attacker and 2 others have been arrested regarding this case.
Online social media has become a support group to anyone effected by this incident. Sending love and prayers to others, offering a home and food, the community has come together expressing their grief and love. Stephen Jones, a homeless man that was sleeping outside of the venue heard the explosion, at first he believed it was just fireworks until he realized what was really happening. He offered his assistance to the injured, because of this, people have raised thousands of dollars for the man.
Ariana Grande has stated that she will be paying for all the funerals for the victims, and states on twitter that she is “Broken” and has “No words” she was admitted to the hospital following the event in distress as she was un able to calm down.
The UK and N.A.T.O have stated that they plan to higher the security so that there are no further incidents like this
