    Virtual Reality Brings School Bus Driver Training to Another Level 
    Driving a school bus is an immense responsibility. A successful school day starts with the trip to school, and drivers set the tone with a safe, welcoming environment onboard for each learner. Now imagine maintaining that environment for students while also contending with fog, construction zones, slippery conditions, deer running into the roadway, tight turns and aggressive, speeding cars – all within a few minutes. 
    Free Store at Pauline Johnson Gives Life Skills Students Valuable Learning Opportunities  
    The COVID-19 pandemic has required everyone to re-envision how we learn and connect with our school communities, and that’s been especially true for students in the Special Education Life Skills class at Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational School. “That’s how the idea for the Nest was born,” says educational assistant Robin Sweers, who works with the Life Skills class and helped students brainstorm.
    Learning Partnership Brings Cutting-Edge Technology to James Hillier Public School
    Students in educator Graham Corrigan's Grade 8 class at James Hillier Public School were the first in Ontario to take part in a unique program to enhance STEM learning with an electron microscope, on loan for a couple of weeks from the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy (CCEM), located at McMaster University, in partnership with its NextGen program and Hitachi's Inspire STEM Education Outreach Program.
