Today is World Teachers' Day, and I want to take a moment to ensure that at least in this small way, all Grand Erie teachers are recognized for their leadership and for their commitment to students, every day, and in every school across the district.
This year’s theme for World Teachers' Day is: The Transformation of Education Begins with Teachers.
I believe you are all leaders as we work together to make education more personal, more impactful, and more inclusive. This is the transformation work we are taking on in Grand Erie, and this work would be impossible without your daily and extraordinary contributions. Thank you for your learning, for your leadership, and for your inspiration. My hope is that as we look forward to a full year of learning without the impacts of the pandemic, we all have the opportunity to truly lean into this transformational work and continue building on the gains we have made. The gains you have made possible.
Thank you all so much for everything that you do, and I look forward to continuing our work together to build a culture of learning, well-being and belonging to inspire every learner.
