Indigenous Studies/Supports
At Dunnville Secondary School, we aim to embed Indigenous co-curricular learning and activities of cultural and historical significance into our programming. Examples include our Indigenous Students Club for those who self-identify as First Nations, Inuit or Metis, the Iroquois Lacrosse Program, and all Grade 11 English courses have an Indigenous focus..
Library Learning Commons
Our Learning Commons is a modern, vibrant, and technologically advanced space!
The Learning Commons provides a safe, friendly environment for all, offering a balanced collection of print and digital resources to meet both curricular and personal interest needs. This space provides integrated learning with a cross-curricular approach. The team of staff assists students in guided inquiry and research skill development. The team strives to challenge students to think critically about the information they find, instill in them a love of learning and reading, and equip them with the literacy skills required for their post-secondary destinations.
Beyond books, our Learning Commons has adapted to 21st Century Learning by including an eLearning hub where students can access teacher support, creative and collaborative spaces for digital arts and media, and cross-curricular STEAM opportunities. We are always excited to see what amazing things our Panthers do in our Learning Commons.
