Interested in Becoming a Personal Support Worker (PSW)?

If you are interested in receiving information about the September 2025 – January 2026 class, then please complete this  form.  

Candidates interested in the PSW Program do not need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. As part of the program, students may earn up to 6 secondary school credits towards graduation. The secondary school credits may also improve a student's overall average for post-secondary applications. 

Information Sessions will be held in the month of May and attendance is mandatory. Students that have completed the form will be sent more information in early May.  

Students enrolled in the PSW Program must:       

  • Be 18 years of age or older.  

  • Pass and have completed English language Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 6. If English is not the first language, then candidates must bring their CLB assessment documents to the PSW information session.  

  • Complete a PSW Pre-registration form.  

  • Show valid Photo ID 

  • Provide proof of status in Canada and photo identification for Refugee Claimants as a condition of acceptance.  

  • Write an in-person literacy test. 

  • Provide a clear Criminal Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector completed. This means no charges, convictions, withdrawals or discharges.  

  • Provide proof of up to date vaccinations including Covid-19, (2 dose minimum + booster mandatory)
