Registration
We encourage you to take care of registration paperwork by coming to the NEW Turning Point Office at Valley Heights. (Follow the signs). Registration will take place 9-3 p.m. Tuesday Sept 5th – Friday Sept 8th.Thursday, September 7th we will also offer after school registration from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Light refreshments and snacks will be served on Thursday’s registration.Please note that students under 18 are required to bring parents in with them as signatures are required. Students will receive their timetable when all registration forms are completed.
New Changes for 2023-24…
Night School
We are hoping to run a Dual Credit course for students in any grade this year.If you are interested, please email or text Mrs. Breedyk to be added to the list.Currently, the plan is to run this tech course in Semester 1.
A few other important items…
Safety Night
We will be holding Safety Night for all CO-OP students on Thursday September 14th from 6-8 p.m.We will meet in the cafeteria for refreshments and a guest speaker. Please bring your CO-OP packages you received at registration.
Homework Help
We are hoping to run Homework Help on Tuesday nights at Houghton Public School (Portable) and at Valley Heights on Thursdays.Hours will be from to 6-9 p.m. for the upcoming year.
VHSS uses a payment system called School Cash On-line.If you haven’t already registered, please see the instructions below. You may wish to purchase the Student Activity Fee and Athletic Fee after August 15 – details of what these fees cover will be included in your pre-registration paperwork.
- Visit www.granderie.ca, click the “Parent Info” button, and then choose “School Cash Online”
- Select “Register” and follow the steps to register
- Select the “click here” option on your confirmation email, sign in and add each of your children to your household account.
Students wishing to make timetable changes can email Mrs. Breedyk over the summer or discuss changes during registration week.
A reminder that all students must earn a minimum of 40 Community Service Hours as part of the graduation requirements.More information about what activities are eligible and the required form to document earned hours are available on our website (www.granderie.ca/schools/vhss) under “Student Services” and “Graduation”
