Girls Baseball practice Tuesday after school and exhibition game Wednesday next week.
The Girls soccer team played the game of the year last night against Holy Trinity, ultimately losing 3 – 1. It was an incredible performance from our girls and a very even game. Emi Mole played the best game of the season as goalie and kept us in it for 80 minutes. Mrs. Backus is most proud of the resilience and mental toughness our girls demonstrated. Next up, CWOSSA in 2 weeks. We will plan for a practice next Wednesday morning.

Purchase a variety of delicious, sweet, and savory baked goods, beautiful flowers, plants, and herbs, woodworking products, as well as creative pottery. You can also have your vehicle washed by the cheerleaders while enjoying a tasty lunch from the food truck prepared by the Dual Credit Cooking Class Your support is greatly appreciated.

On Monday, four of our senior students participated in the SIGMA Mathematics and Statistics competition at Mohawk College. The competition is made up of two parts: a partner problem solving competition followed by and individual computer competition. For the grade 12s, our team of Everett and Carley placed second in the partner competition and for the grade 11s, Liam and Curtis placed second in the partner competition. Liam also placed second in the individual competition while Curtis took home first place in the individual competition. Our team of 4 came home with 6 awards and a total of $475 in prize money!! What a great day!!! Super proud of you, Bears!

Staff, students, families, and community member are welcome to Valley Heights annual Spring sale on Friday May 17th from 9:00 to 2:30. Our talented Horticulture, Construction, Art and Hospitality students will be selling woodworking products, flowers, plants, pottery, and sweet and savory baked goods. Money raised will help to support these valuable programs.
A special offering this year will be a food truck operated by Mrs. Hevesi’s Dual Credit Cooking Class along with their mentor. Students will be cooking and serving all your favourites including burgers, hotdogs, fries, and poutine as well as specialty dishes including a delicious Greek Chicken Pita and a tasty roast beef stacker. The food truck opens at 10am and will run throughout the day. While enjoying your lunch, you can have your vehicle washed by the cheerleaders.

Your girls soccer team was on fire last Friday at the tournament in Waterford. We ended up placing 2nd and our superstar goalie Emi Mole was given the goalie MVP of the tournament. Next up, we have a semi final game against Holy Trinity on Thursday at 2:30 in Delhi. We will have a light but mandatory practice on Wednesday after school.
Attention all cheerleaders – unfortunately, we will need to postpone our practice to next week. So, NO practice tomorrow morning! We do have the car wash on Friday and Ms. High will send out a reminder text tonight.

Congratulations to the track and field athletes that competed in Brantford at AABHN. There were lots of PBs set over the 2 days. Moving on to CWOSSA to compete at the next level is: Amilya King, Eytan Mirie, Mark Driedger, Joel Driedger, Brenner Lammens, Justin Grzech.
