  What were you doing before Walter Gretzky Elementary School?

I taught Grade 1 online this past year at Elgin Ave PS in Simcoe.

  What excites you most about teaching at Walter Gretzky?

I am most excited to join the Walter Gretzky School community and meet all the students, staff and families. We are going to learn so many amazing things together!

  What's your favourite part of teaching?

My favourite part of teaching is being able to learn and explore with the students in my classroom. I love to learn, so I am thrilled about the opportunity to discover new things with my students and the incredible staff around me.

  What motivates you?

Enthusiasm and happiness motivate me both in the classroom and in my everyday life. I am inspired by positivity and excitement for learning. I am excited to bring my enthusiasm to Grade 2 and the rest of the school community.

  What’s a special skill or talent you possess that might surprise people?

A special skill that I have that surprises people is that I can speak some German. I have been learning German for several years now and absolutely love learning new languages.

  What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

The advice that I live by is, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” Kindness and acceptance of all is a core philosophy in my classroom and of myself as a person.

  What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family, my dog, and go for walks on the trails. I love to keep active, go to the gym, and do exercise whenever I can!
