School Culture and Well-being 

Summer Program – Bridging Communities

Grand Erie District School Board (Grand Erie) is pleased to offer summer mental health and well-being supports. 

Healthy Grand Erie Stability Outreach Program

  • Students in all areas of Grand Erie will continue to be able to access supports throughout the summer months
  • Check-ins will occur at family homes or community locations
  • Social Workers will provide brief counselling for Grand Erie youth, and consultation for parent(s)/caregiver(s) seeking guidance on community supports
  • Child and Youth Workers (CYWs) will provide skill-building for youth, while the parent(s)/caregiver(s) meet with a Social Worker
     

Land Based Programming

  • Land-based learning and mental health supports for Indigenous youth
     

Attendance Supports

  • During the last weeks of summer, an Attendance Counsellor will provide support to students who are vulnerable to not being enrolled and/or attending on the first day of school
     

Camp SAIL

  • CYW support will be available to support Camp SAIL participants
     

Summer Program Sign up Details: 

Program  Accessing the Program 
Healthy Grand Erie Stability Program 
  • Open to all Grand Erie students and families
  • Parent(s)/caregiver(s) and students may also directly access program supports over the summer through referral by their school or an online request link
Land Based Programming 
  • Students who are currently being served through this program will be able to continue to access the program during the summer
Attendance Supports
  • Open to all Grand Erie Students who may need support for attendance while they transition back to school
  • Parent(s)/caregiver(s) and students may also directly access program supports over the summer through referral by their school or an online request link
Camp Sail 
  • Access available to all students participating in Camp Sail
