Grand Erie District School Board is getting ready to mark National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day on September 30 by ensuring schools have what they need to support Indigenous-focused learning for all students during Truth and Reconciliation Week (Sept. 27 - Oct. 1) and throughout the school year.
Several school playgrounds got a little leafier last week as Facility Services staff completed the planting of 100 trees across Grand Erie.

On August 3, the Ontario Ministry of Education released its guide to the safe reopening of schools, COVID-19: Health, safety and operational guidance for schools (2021-2022).
Grand Erie District School Board is reviewing the Ministry guidelines carefully and will provide detailed guidance to staff and families in the coming days. Local Public Health Unit directives will also play an important part in the development of this guidance.
