    Summer Learning Offers Students Opportunity to Get Caught Up, Get Ahead, or Change Paths
    Registration is now open for Grand Erie students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 interested in taking advantage of learning opportunities available this summer, with a focus no longer just on secondary students recovering credits. 
    Grand Erie Schools Remain Closed to In-Person Learning for the Remainder of the 2020-21 School Year
    Today on June 2, the Province of Ontario has announced that all schools in Ontario remain closed to in-person learning for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. Students will continue to learn remotely.
    Grand Erie Welcomes Kevin Graham to the Role of Superintendent
    Grand Erie District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Graham to the role of Superintendent of Education, effective September 1. 
    Pride Day at Thompson Creek Offers Lessons in Humanity

    June is National Indigenous History Month
    June is National Indigenous History Month. Throughout this month & always, we take this opportunity to celebrate the rich history, heritage, diversity & significant contributions that First Nations, Métis & Inuit peoples have made in shaping Canada. We continue to work with our Indigenous communities, including our local First Nations, both Six Nations of the Grand River and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, as we continue to learn from their stories, traditions and cultures. 
    Grand Erie celebrates Pride month
    Throughout the month of June, students and staff across Grand Erie will celebrate Pride Month. Pride month is a time for us to centre the voices of our 2SLBTQ+ students, parents and staff who identify as part of this community, and celebrate their contributions toward making our schools safer and more inclusive spaces for everyone.
    Grand Erie to honour lives of 215 children found at the site of a former residential school
    Beginning today, May 31, all flags across Grand Erie District School Board schools and worksites, will be lowered to mourn the 215 children whose remains were recently found at the site of the former Kamloops Residential School in Kamloops, BC. The flags will be lowered for nine days, which amounts to 215 hours to represent the life of each child lost.
    Message from the BCHU: COVID-19 vaccine clinics for youth ages 12 to 17 now open
    The Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) has opened COVID-19 vaccine clinics for those between 12 to 17 years-of-age.

    Sunday, May 16 is World Education Support Personnel Day! On this day and always, the Grand Erie District School Board wants to take this opportunity to acknowledge the important roles that our education support staff play in our schools.
