The Extended Team

 Six Nations Trustee 

The Six Nations Trustee is appointed by the Six Nations Band Council to represent community interests at the Board level.
 

 Indigenous Student Trustee 

Grand Erie added an Indigenous Student Trustee position to ensure the voice of Indigenous students is represented in consultation and decision-making at the Board level. Aleena Skye is the current Indigenous Student Trustee.
 

 Native Education Counselling Staff 

The Native Education Counsellors provide for the instructional, counselling, and other needs of on-reserve Six Nations students. Select a school above to view their contact information.
 

 Native Community Liaison Worker

The Native Community Liaison Worker provides service and support to on-reserve Six Nations students who are disengaged or at risk of being disengaged with their school experience.
 

 Native Advisory Committee

The N.A.C. consists of the following:

• Director of Education or designate responsible for Indigenous Education
• Six Nations Trustee
• One other Grand Erie Trustee
• Ddesignate of the Six Nations Council Education Committee

Other resource members of the committee include the following:

• Native Education Counselling Staff
• Native Community Liaison Worker
• Native Advisor
• Grand Erie principals of schools where Six Nations students attend
   

Indigenous Education Advisory Committee

The committee's mandate is to promote, enhance and improve Indigenous education for all students. The committee consists of: Native Trustee, representative from Senior Administration, Trustee appointed by the Board, Indigenous Ed Lead (Teacher-Consultant), Six Nations Native Advisor, Chair of Six Nations Council Education Committee, Director of Education – New Credit, Mississaugas of the Credit Education Pillar Lead, Additional Representative from MNCFN, Region 9 Métis Representative, Representation from local associations working to further the interest of Indigenous Education and parent representatives.
