International Languages Elementary Program
- Offers children the opportunity to develop and/or maintain the ability to speak, listen, read and write a new language, or in the language of their heritage.
- Enhances students’ connection with their heritage.
- Improves communication skills in their language of choice.
- Strengthens cognitive development through the knowledge of an additional language.
- Provides opportunities to learn and experience another culture.
- Languages offered: Arabic, Polish, Punjabi, and Urdu.
Important Notes
- An elementary language program for students entering JK through Grade 8 in September 2018.
- Students with all levels of language proficiency are welcome.
- Offered free of charge to Ontario residents who are registered in a private or publicly-funded school.
- Students need to be committed to learning and improving their skills. Good attitude, behaviour and attendance are expected of every student.

Registration Procedure - Elementary
All classes are offered subject to sufficient enrolment. Elementary students may start at any point throughout the school year. Students must be 4 years of age by December 31 st of the school year to be eligible.
To Register please complete this ILE Registration form along with:
Proof of Birth and Citizenship - one of the following:
- a Canadian Birth Certificate or Baptismal Certificate
- a Canadian Passport (not a Canada Visa within a passport)
- Canadian Citizenship Card
- Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form 5292 or IMM100 (verified with a passport)
- Permanent Resident Card
Course Cancellation Policy - Courses listed will be offered provided there are sufficient registrants and/or qualified instructors available. That is, some of these languages MAY NOT be offered, depending on final registration numbers.
Punjabi Secondary School Credit Class- 110 Hours
Program begins September 15, 2018 until June 22, 2019 on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Students will earn a secondary school credit in one of the open, academic or University levels in International Languages: Punjabi.
To register, please complete this Punjabi Credit Class Registration form along with:
