Congratulations to the Boys Hockey Team who won their first ever AABHN championship in team history!
The boys first defeated Waterford 5-0 in the semi-finals and played one of their best games of the season!
Cam Easton earned the shutout and the team played stellar defense from start to finish. Next up, the team faced off against first-place Cayuga in the finals. After two hard fought periods in a tight checking game, the boys found themselves down by a goal heading into the 3rd. Part- way through the 3rd period, Mylz Freeman finally tied things up with Austin Vansickle picking up the assist. Both teams traded chances with near goals but the buzzer went, sending the game to overtime! In OT, both teams again traded chances but Cam Easton kept the Tbirds alive. Finally, PJ got their chance . . .Blair Matthews fed Noah Beauvais down the right side. He beat the D and slid the puck 5-hole ... and the stands went crazy! Players . . . the coaches want to congratulate you on an epic season. Your hard-work and determination earned you a spot in PJ history. Enjoy the moment and be ready to defend your title next season!
Once again, the teachers have proven their absolute dominance in the sports arena, crushing the competition in volleyball and hockey. Despite their best efforts, it seems no match for the wisdom, skill, and decades of experience that PJ teachers bring to the court and the rink.
Thank you to all the brave students who accepted the challenge—you gave it your all, but the scoreboard speaks for itself! Better luck next time, and remember: every loss is a learning opportunity. See you at the next match… if you’re up for it!
