Caledonia Centennial is proud to offer various athletic opportunities for our students. Many of our athletic teams compete against other Haldimand schools at regional tournaments.
Junior and Intermediate students can participate in organized team sports throughout the year as well as intramurals during nutrition break and recess. We encourage our students to play fair and safely, have good sportsmanship, and most of all to have fun!
We are thrilled to announce that our school donated 86 boxes to this charity! Please visit www.samaritanspurse.ca for more information.
Our cheerleading team spent many hours practicing for the Spirit Challenge on Fair Day. They performed at a Pep Rally the day before the fair, and got the school excited for the challenge. At the fair, they did a fantastic job leading the school in numerous cheers as well as performing their dance cheer to music.
Our ECO Team consists of very enthusiastic students who are concerned about the environment and their school. They keep our school green and clean. Each week they work diligently to collect and sort paper, cans, plastic, newsprint and cardboard.
Mrs. Unsworth would like to thank all the students for helping with recycling in our school
Students are asked to help the recycling team by following these tips:
The Recycling Team would like to encourage students to do their part by recycling at school and at home. Please see the recycling poster outside room 17 that outlines what can and cannot be recycled in Caledonia.

Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Caledonia & District Food Bank, and its clients, I wish to thank you for your support this past year. We are so thankful that this community has enabled us to make a difference in the lives of those in need for over 30 years. This past Christmas we were able to provide, 138 people, of which 51 were children with a gift, food hampers, a turkey, fresh produce, milk and treats. Over 2,000 pounds of non-perishable food items were distributed in one week. Our amazing volunteers spent many hours sorting and making preparations to make the Christmas Hamper Program possible, and they continue to make our weekly operation of assisting those in need run smoothly. There are adults and children in our community who are forced to choose between their most basic needs, like paying the rent, hydro bill or purchasing food, therefore we are grateful that our food bank, with your support, can help to make ends meet. We truly appreciate your continued generosity throughout the coming year.
Wishing you and your family Blessings and a Joyous 2018.
Sincerely,
Dorette Allemang
Manager
