The Langton Parent Committee, better known as the LPC, is a group of parents who help run fundraising activities. They are responsible for the Snack Program, Hot Dog Days, Family dances, etc. The funds raised are used to curb the cost of trips, events and supply classrooms with various items. New members are always welcome and remember many hands make light work.
Langton Parent Council provides a forum where parents and other members of the community can contribute to improving student achievement and school performance. Parental involvement is one of the most significant factors contributing to a child’s success in school. When parents are involved in their children’s education, the level of student achievement increases, students attend school more regularly, they complete more homework in a consistent manner, and demonstrate more positive attitudes towards school.
Langton Parent Council usually meets on Tuesdays, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm (in the school staff room).
