Welcome to Mt. Pleasant!
We pride ourselves in being a rural, community minded school in Mt. Pleasant. We have about 210 students, from Junior Kindergarten to grade 8, 15 staff members, a solid School Council and lots of volunteers and community support. We have been identified as an Eco-Green School with GOLD designation…we are working towards our Platinum designation. We are especially interested in technology and have Smartboards and computers in every classroom. We have a newly developed Learning Commons as well as a maker space where our students are challenged to pursue inquiry projects. Our students are encouraged to take on leadership roles and seek ways to make our school a better place.

Balanced Day Schedule
8:50….Entry bell..first instructional block
10:50…..first nutrition break (all students stay at school)….students go outside for 20 minutes of play time and then come inside for 20 minutes of lunch.
11:30….second instructional block
1:10…..second nutrition break (Intermediate students leaving school for lunch must have written consent)….students go outside for 20 minutes of play time and then come inside for 20 minutes of lunch.
1:50….third instructional block
3:10….dismissal
