General Working By-law/General Governance Policy/Governance Policies
The By-law, General Governance Policy and Governance Policies are directives that the Board of Trustees follows with respect to conducting the business of the Board of Trustees.
A Board policy is a statement of intent and governing principles that provide the framework for a position or direction of the Board of Trustees. Policies are intended to guide action and include an objective, policy statement and references.
Procedures are directives and operational in nature, outlining the "how" of policy objectives and include purpose, guiding principles, definitions and references in a formalized process. A procedure aligns with the principles of a policy.
