Welcome Sabres!

Welcome to the SCS website! We hope to provide you with current information about our programs and activities. We are a school of approximately 700 students and nearly 70 staff members who all work together in “the most beautiful campus in Southwestern Ontario.”

We provide a full range of core Academic, Applied, and Locally Developed courses and a wide variety of optional courses to meet all students’ pathway needs. We also offer a broad selection of extracurricular activities to provide students opportunities to explore their interests outside the classroom.

One of our unique programs is the two credit grade 12 Health Sciences course. This course partners with our local health care facility, Norfolk General Hospital, to expose student to all aspect of the health care field through a variety of case studies and field trips.

SCS is home to two SHSM (Specialist High Skills Major) programs in The Communication Technology with a focus on Cinema as well as one with a focus on the Automotive Service industry.

Bienvenue: SCS is proud to offer the only Extended French program in Grand Erie's Haldimand & Norfolk schools (est. 2020).  

We are lucky to own one of the most decorated Music Programs in all of Ontario. Simcoe Composite School offers a thriving music program which includes Instrumental Junior, Concert, Senior and Jazz bands. The SCS Teacher Band is composed of both students and staff who practice weekly. Unique to SCS is the Concert Band program in which band participants earn credit toward their OSSD. The SCS music program also offers a credit program in Guitar.

Come and check out one of our many Championship teams, such as Cheer, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Hockey and more. If sports are not your thing we have many clubs to fill in your time, ranging from an award winning Fishing Team, Eco Club, Indigenous Club, Photography, Diversity Club, and more.
